How much is a consultation?
Standard consultation fee is $250 (generally 1 to 1-1/2 hour) and if you decide to go ahead with surgery the consultation fee for any cosmetic surgical procedure will be credited to your account. Any follow up consultations prior to surgery and your follow up appointments are included.
Do I need a referral?
Most patients need a referral from their local GP to see Dr Amjadi. If you are not sure, please call us to get more information.
Where are you located?
We are conveniently located at 161 New South Head Road, Edgecliff. The clinic is a short walk from Edgecliff Train and Bus stations, and free 1 1/2 hour parking is available at Edgecliff shopping centre.
Dr Amjadi also consults at Manly and Guildford, and appointments there can be arranged through the same phone number 1300 589 325
Will I be able to have a minor procedure performed on the same day as my first consultation?
Our purpose-built facility at Edgecliff allows for suitable minor procedures at your initial consultation. Any non-surgical procedures such as anti-wrinkle injections and fillers can be performed at your first consultation. Please advise our staff when you are making a booking if you think this might be required.
What are the costs involved?
This depends on what surgery you are interested in. There are a few components to take into consideration:
1- Health Fund Excess: If the procedure is covered by your fund, you may have to pay an excess depending on your level of cover.
2- Surgeon: if your surgery is covered by your fund, you may be eligible to claim a rebate.
3- Surgeon’s assistant: for more complex procedures, a surgical assistant may be required which will attract a separate fee.
4- Hospital fee: if your surgery is covered by your health fund this may be paid for by the fund.
5- Anaesthetist: their fee is generally charged by an hourly basis. Again, you may be able to claim part of this cost.
6- Devices such as breast implants, cheek and chin implants: Device costs vary according to size, quality and brand.
Our friendly staff will provide you with a comprehensive quote. You should also contact your health fund to discuss any rebates that you may be eligible for.
Will my health fund cover the costs of surgery?
The level of coverage depends on the type of surgery you are having, the health cover you have, the level of cover, the waiting time period and the exceptions of coverage from the health fund. We ask patients to confirm with their health fund the coverage they have as we can only provide an estimated rebate.
Can I get a quote over the phone?
Yes, we can provide you a general fee estimate over the phone but the price estimation varies according to the patient’s needs and complexity of the procedure, and the final fee estimate is given after your initial consultation.
Do you provide finance for costs associated with surgery?
We are happy to discuss the possibility of an affordable installment plan to assist in making your surgery a reality.
